On Sunday, April 30, 2006 the Touring Elks held their Annual Bike Raffle at the Elks Lodge. Approximately 170 people attended & each ticket sold also included a Chicken BBQ cooked & served by members of one of the Elks Teams, F-Troop. All tickets were verified by people in attendance & placed in the large drum with each ticket in a security sealed envelope. Several young children in attendance drew the 6 winning tickets. The winner of the HD Softail Deluxe lives in Yukon, OK & called back later & didn't want the motorcycle due to his age. One of our members had a cashier check waiting just in case such an event took place. In talking with the winner, a price was agreed to & our member Laurie is now the new owner of the HD Softail Deluxe. Everyone had a great time & are looking forward to next years raffle. Money from the event goes to Elks needs within our lodge & Elks National programs.
