Wine Country RV Park in Paso Robles was the May Campout site. 19 rigs attended and the weather was well suited to our Hawaiian Luau themed campout.

Friday was arrival day. Everyone helped set up the lodge then some played cards while others relaxed and enjoyed the afternoon. Friday evening some attended a potluck dinner and others went out to local restaurants. Starting Friday and throughout the weekend a cribbage tournament was held. Buckey Swetkovich was the winner, collecting fifteen dollars.

Saturday morning the regular golfing gang headed to the golf course. I understand that the winner was not determined due to unforeseen circumstances.

Saturday at noon Win and Cathy Campbell celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary and Tom and Linda Dotard, just for fun, were the champagne hosts. Along with the champagne, we feasted on a great spread of appetizers. Each of the women was presented with a colorful carnation in honor of Mother's Day. The girls in the Park office were also presented with a carnation with a special thank your for all their consideration to the Traveleers. After brunch a short meeting was held. Larry Bowman gave us a unique reading of the minutes for the April meeting. Thanks were given to our Trail Bosses Barbara and Van Diaz, Bob and Marilee Lopex and Don and Corinne Hathaway. Bob Lopez announced that the kitchen trailer committee had finalized the design plan. He stated that with the donation and sale of the old trailer the total cost should be satisfied. It was agreed for him to go ahead with the purchase. Lisa Neufield and Bill Demar were introduced as guests. Following the meeting Theresa Ramirez call the numbers for the raffle presented by Joann Bowman and Vicki Garcis. After the raffle Marilee Lopez held a fun dice and card game with everyone winning a prize.

Saturday evening our Trail Bosses presented us with a great evening with a Hawaiian theme. Festive decoration and Hawaiian dress was the backdrop and provided the atmosphere. The pork loin dinner with all the trimmings was wonderful and the perfect cuisine to go with the theme. Entertainment followed dinner. First were beautiful Hula Dancers. Van Diaz and Larry Bowman dressed in grass skirts danced to Hawaiian music. What a sight. They had everyone in laughing hysterics. Second was Cathy Campbell and Tom Dutart playing ukuleles and leading us in song. The special prize of Hawaiian Punch went to Don and Carolyn McCall for their matching Hawaiian attire. Thank you Trail Bosses for a great party.

Sunday morning the Trail Bosses served us oatmeal, English muffins and fruit. Carol Adams surprised all the campers with cinnamon rolls decorated with birthday candles in honor of John Portune's birthday

Another great campout and thanks to all who participated. Special thanks go to out Trail Bosses, Hank Ramirez for hauling the trailer, Harvey and Jeanie Lobo, Rudy Garcia and all who helped for Saturday evening cleanup. Also thanks to all who helped in Sunday morning's cleanup, especially Hank Ramirez for washing all those dishes and Rudy Garcia for vacuuming the huge floor. We are always complemented by the RV parks for the great way we leave their facilities.
